Another example of our commitment to innovation was our participation in the event “NavIdAd: A toast to those who innovate with soul,” held on December 2nd.
Organized by Women in Localization in Madrid, this gathering brought together professionals from the language sector to reflect on the impact of artificial intelligence on localization and translation processes.
AI from the perspective of diversity and the human
The day began with a presentation by María Illescas, Director of Innovation and AI Solutions at Seprotec Multilingual Solutions, who invited us to consider how artificial intelligence is transforming the concept of quality in translation.
She emphasized that quality is now measured not only by accuracy, but also by connection, relevance, inclusivity, and cultural adaptation.

A round table discussion then took place with the participation of industry experts, including:
- Lucía García de Pablo, Senior Solutions Engineer at Phrase.
- Yasmin Shawi Sanchez. Process Development Manager at TransPerfect.
- Beatriz Tapias, expert in conversational AI and technical lead in Generative AI projects at the Bank.

Together they shared how AI is transforming workflows, boosting productivity, and reinforcing human value in more strategic and creative tasks.
Our commitment: to innovate with soul
In her presentation, Beatriz Tapias explained how we train linguistic models from a responsible perspective:
“AI linguistic models learn from the language they encounter, but also from the language that isn’t there. That’s why we must ensure the quality, diversity, and representativeness of the data, because we risk amplifying biases. Therefore, diversity is a technical requirement for building a more useful, ethical, and inclusive AI.”
Beatriz Tapias, Data Analytics & Artificial Intelligence
A day that reinforces our commitment
At the Bank, we believe in innovation that combines technology and a human perspective to generate real and positive impact. That’s why participating in these conferences motivates us to continue moving towards a more inclusive, more ethical, and above all, more people-connected artificial intelligence.
Let’s continue!
