The CCTA’s University Talent Mentoring and Management Program, in collaboration with the University of Alicante (UA) and the Miguel Hernández University (UMH), and supported by the Banco Sabadell Foundation, is made possible through the partnership of our Alicante Technological Competence Center (CCTA). The CCTA’s professionals provide training and mentoring to students from both universities. This year, the Miguel Hernández University of Elche joins the program for the first time.
This project celebrates its fifth edition and will enable 33 undergraduate, master’s and doctoral students from the UA and UMH to be accompanied by 33 volunteer employees from the CCTA in solving a challenge that will allow them to develop key skills and competencies for their professional future.
For four months, the students, with the help of professionals mainly from the field of Technology and Operations in Alicante, will work on a technological challenge that will enable them to develop innovative ideas that address challenges in the social, business or technological fields, as well as learn about different roles, competencies and key skills.
Once the program is completed, those who have participated in the program will have a greater chance of being eligible for an external internship during the 2025-26 academic year.
Initial session in hybrid format with mentors and mentees
The program’s kickoff session was held on November 25th in a hybrid format at the CCTA facilities and was attended by Carlos Rizo, Coordinator of Internships and Institutional Relations at the Higher Polytechnic School of the University of Alicante; Domingo Galiana, Director of the Occupational Observatory of the Miguel Hernández University of Elche; Susana Soler, Director of the CCTA; Christian Cortés, IT Manager of the CCTA, as well as the mentors and mentees who will participate in this edition of the program.
With the aim of providing a more complete view of how today’s technology companies operate, in this new edition students will also have the opportunity to visit the technology centers that Accenture, NTT Data and DXC have in Alicante.
This year, the program has generated exceptional interest among students, with a total of 80 students enrolled—a figure that reflects the commitment and motivation of the participants. This success is partly due to the Innovation Banking Hack Fest 2025 (#IBHF25), the hackathon organized by Sabadell Digital that brought together more than 140 university students last October at the CCTA, creating the perfect environment to foster learning and professional development.
