On 13 February, the “InnUniVErsitari0s” team, recognised with the award for best AI project and second best UA Project, participated in a co-creation session at Kyndryl Vital in Madrid. This session was designed to go a step beyond the prototype presented at the hackathon and take the solution towards a more mature and applicable level in real environments.

Their proposal, “FINCAL – Intelligent Financial Calendar”, is aimed at freelancers and combines predictive analytics and generative AI to anticipate liquidity needs, plan payments and offer personalised recommendations that improve financial decision-making. Thanks to the quality of their project, the team was able to participate in this session to evolve it towards a concept with greater technical maturity and a vision for real implementation.

A session to structure, validate and scale intelligent financial solutions

During the session, work was done on:

  • The redefinition of the project’s purpose.
  • The structured review of the use case.
  • A deep dive into the technological architecture, integrations and potential risks.

The result was a more solid, structured and aligned proposal with a potential application case in the banking environment, demonstrating the team’s ability to incorporate expert feedback and transform their solution with a business perspective.

From the Innovation Banking Hack Fest 2025 to co-creation at Kyndryl Vital

The winning team emerged from the Innovation Banking Hack Fest (#IBHF25), held in October at the CCTA in Alicante. In this hackathon, promoted by Sabadell Digital alongside its partners, more than 150 students from UA, UMH and UPV worked for three days on developing innovative solutions for the banking sector, accompanied by professionals from the bank.

Initiatives like #IBHF25 offer accelerated learning in real environments, direct exposure to industry experts and the opportunity to develop solutions with potential impact on the banking of the future.
