What happens after winning a hackathon? For the winners of the Innovation Banking Hack Fest 2025 (#IBHF25), the answer was experiencing Banco Sabadell from the inside, sharing their idea with our teams, and getting a close look at how we work.

As part of their prize, Leonardo Elori Cachina, Jorge Morin de Paiz, Antonio Leal Rivera and Juan Manuel Gonzalez Martinez visited the Sabadell and CBSant Cugat headquarters to present ClearPAI, their winning proposal, and chat with professionals from different areas.

ClearPAI: An impactful solution for subscription management

ClearPAI is a solution designed to help people manage their online subscriptions, free trials, and recurring payments easily.

La herramienta plantea integrarse directamente en la app de Banco Sabadell para:

  • Visualise all recurring payments on a single screen.
  • Anticipate potential renewals or price changes.
  • Facilitate the agile cancellation and management of the service.

An experience to connect with the bank

Over two days, the winners were able to participate in sessions linked to innovation and technology, chat with bank teams, present their project, and get a close look at our spaces and our culture. An experience that allowed them to discover how an idea born in a hackathon can connect with real challenges in the financial sector.

For Jorge Morín de Páiz, the visit was also an opportunity to discover the professional environment from within:

“It is one of the best experiences you can have as a student: it allows you to see how projects are launched and how professional teams work. It is a lesson you can only truly learn by being on the inside.”

Ideas that generate value beyond the hackathon

Some of the proposals developed by the participants have already been incorporated into internal initiatives, contributing fresh ideas that enrich existing work. An example of how young talent can generate real value beyond the hackathon.

Antonio Leal Rivera, who had already done an internship at Banco Sabadell, highlighted the balance between innovation and rigour:

“Digital transformation is constant, but also highly controlled, due to the strict requirements in security, compliance, and quality.”

The IBHF is a way to get closer to young talent, build relationships, and open up new opportunities for fresh perspectives to contribute to the future of banking.
